What makes our food tours different?
Our guides are top industry experts: Chefs, sommeliers or passionate food bloggers, all of our guides are passionate experts. When it comes to food or wine, you know the French take this very seriously!
Original tours, created from the ground up by professionals: A lot of tour companies offer similar culinary tours of Paris, what makes Localers tours really original is the time dedicated to visits and tastings. Quality time will be spent interacting with the merchants of each boutique, enabling you to have an authentic experience. For example: mini workshops on cheese and wine will go into great detail about provenance and history of the produce. We created our tours from the ground up after lengthy consultation with the local merchants and the experts who lead them. There is an emphasis on regional, quality, and artisan cuisine; and tasting it all during your dedicated visits will form an essential part of the tour.
Tastings are included in the price: There are no extra costs during a Localers food & wine tour. Localers has established special agreements with the merchants on our food tours which means all tastings will be included in the price you’ve paid. So don’t be shy, get stuck in and savour every mouthful!
Tour groups are small: Tour groups are often small and never exceed the maximum number of 8 participants. The reason for this is simple: artisan shops are small and can only accommodate small groups. And smaller groups means that you won’t be competing with others to speak with the guide or taste the delicious food on offer. Less is more: more time spent with the guide, more quality, more intimacy.
