Welcome to a new way to explore Gaudi's architectural masterpieces in Barcelona! Because we believe each city is best explored without cars, Localers created an interactive walking group tour that will allow you to witness the wonders of Catalan Modernism as you stroll through Barcelona alongside a real expert local guide!
Your extraordinary experience starts with Casa Batllo, Barcelona's truly magical house! You're right in time to witness the beautiful details of its facade after the recent renovations. You'll learn that the original building, built in 1877 by one of Gaudi's architecture teacher, was a lot more stark than it is today. Then Gaudi came in, worked his magic, and in 2 years, he made of this building a staple monument of Barcelona and a witness of Gaudi's modernism. Take a step back and enjoy the view of this unique line of facades from other prominent architects!
Next up is Casa Mila, also known as La Pedrera. When it was built between 1906 & 1912, the building already featured several important structural innovations, such as the architecture of its facade and an underground garage to name a few. But you'll learn that the people of Barcelona did not welcome this monument as well as Gaudi hoped for and that the nickname La Pedrera was given to disapprove his modern conception.
So if you're looking for a one of a kind experience, allow us to take you on a captivating architectural journey through Gaudi's Barcelona.
